Curly hair can be tough to manage. Curly hair is considered a symbol of beauty and elegance. If managed properly, it can be styled to fit any attire. Here are five measures to follow to keep curly hair healthy and bouncy.

Simple hacks for curly hair

1.       Do not use a hairbrush

Make sure you do not use a hairbrush on wet hair. Using a comb of any sort will damage your hair. However, using a hairbrush will damage your hair more than a normal comb. The end result would be fizzy and dry hair which will look malnourished.

2.       Use a leave-in conditioner

Using a conditioner right is extremely necessary for healthy, curly hair. Using a normal conditioner would also help. When conditioning, make sure to leave it on for a while. In case you are falling short of time, go for leave-in conditioners as they are the most effective ones. This will help you avoid fizz.

3.       Do not rub your towel on wet hair

It is very important how you dry your hair. While drying your hair, make sure you use a dry towel which is soft. Do not directly run the towel on your hair. Rather, pat-dry your hair to avoid dryness in the long run. Do not run your fingers through the wet hair.

4.       Use cotton clothes to blot dry

Using cotton clothes to blot dry will also help you avoid rough hair. This just involves leaving a piece of cotton cloth on wet hair and let it dry naturally. This will maintain the good texture of your hair and also help in getting clean curls. Do not keep the cloth on for too long or you might catch a cold.

5.       Do not leave your hair open while sleeping

If you leave your hair open before going to bed, you will get up with tangled hair that is unmanageable. Either use rollers on your hair or simply clip it up with a bobby pin. Putting it up in plaits will also help you get untangled and knot-free hair. Tieing your hair up in a ponytail is also not recommended.
