Season 3 Episode 9: Slapsgiving

In this episode, we are introduced to the slap bet song made by Marshall, after he warns Barney that he will be slapping him for the third time. He makes a song and also has decorated the house with hand-shaped turkey to taunt him about thanksgiving "slapsgiving". This was one of the best Thanksgiving episodes. It also introduces us to a long-time running gag of Ted and Robin's salute every time someone says an expression that begins with a military rank like "major" or "general."

Season 5, Episode 2: Slapsgiving 2: Revenge of The Slap

In this episode, the audience is left wondering who Marshall "loans" his slap to- either Ted or Robin. Taking advantage of this, Barney pits Ted and Robin against each other so that he can get away from the slap. Ted wants to slap Barney because he was left at the alter and Robin wanted to slap him so that she can get over with her breakup.

Season 6, Episode 10: Blitzgiving

In this episode, we see a Ted make a turkey for thanksgiving. He makes "turturkeykey" by inserting one turkey inside another turkey. To make this turkey, he leaves early which makes him the blitz of the night. The blitz is the guy who leaves early and as he/she leaves something awesome happens. After this, the gang meets Zoey at Maclaren's and the guys have a lot of fun. After the oven in Ted's house is broken by Robin, all of them go to different places to celebrate. While this happens, the blitz goes from Ted to Barney and then back to Ted. It’s fun to watch how Blitz takes over Barney as he is no longer awesome.
