Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and rightly said. However, we tend to care the least about breakfast. A lot of people don’t realise that even the smallest of additions to their existing breakfast can give them a wholesome breakfast. It is proved that a nutritious and well-balanced breakfast can give you the energy to sustain. Here is the list of stuff that you can eat for breakfast which is not only healthy but also tasty.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is the best breakfast choice for many. It is made from ground oats, which contain a unique fibre called oat beta-glucan. This fibre lowers cholesterol and makes you feel satiated. It also contains antioxidants. To boost the protein content of an oatmeal breakfast, you can prepare it with milk and serve it with a piece of cheese.

Eggs

Eggs are known to be a whole source of protein. Studies have proved that eating eggs at breakfast is filling. Additionally, egg yolks contain lutein and zeaxanthin, which help prevent eye disorders like cataract. There are different ways to prepare egg and is highly nutritious even if used in making protein shakes at home.

Berries

Berries are high in fibre and low in calories. They are also rich in antioxidants which decreases the risk of disease. A good way to add berries to your breakfast is to eat them with Greek yoghurt or cottage cheese. According to the study, one cup of berries contains only 50–85 calories depending on the type.

Flaxseed

Sprinkling ground flaxseed into a smoothie is always recommended for the healthy start of your day. Flaxseed is also rich in fibre and lignan, an antioxidant that has been shown to protect against breast cancer. Add 2 spoonfuls of milled flaxseed to your bowl of porridge in the morning to make the perfect start of your routine.

Multigrain parathas

The super favourite multi-talented parantha is a great choice for healthy breakfast. You can include three grains in atta and make a stuffed parantha with a filling of your choice of vegetables along with cheese. Loaded with fibre, vitamins, proteins, and carbs, paranthas are a great start to your day.

Fresh fruits

Fruits are always the delicious part of a nourishing morning diet. Citrus fruits are also very high in vitamin C. According to research, one orange provides more than 100% of the recommended daily intake for vitamin C. Fruit is also very filling due to its high fibre and water contents.
