Make Your Own Tirupati Laddu At Home With This Simple Recipe

Tirupati Laddu is a sacred sweet offered to the deity at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This famous prasad holds a special place in the hearts of devotees across India as an offering to God.

Ingredients 

  • Gram flour 400g
  • Ghee 1 litre
  • sugar 350 g
  • almond 50g
  • Cashew 100g
  • rock sugar 20g
  • cardamom 10g
  • milk 300ml
  • rice flour 100g
  • sugar 100g (to mix)

Instructions 

  • In a mixing bowl add sugar 100 g along with milk and mix well till sugar dissolves.
  • After sugar dissolves add rice flour and mix well without any lumps.
  • Next, add gram flour little by little and mix without lumps.
  • Add milk if needed, Make a thick flowing consistency batter. The batter is ready.
  • Heat ghee in a kadai using iron kadai. Preheat ghee to fry boondi
  • Use a Boondhi ladle and pour the batter on it. Just tap in oil to get Boondhi.
  • Fry well till brown. As we added milk and sugar in the batter it got a nice brown color. Once done strain the excess oil and remove Boondhi. Frying in ghee also gives a nice colour, taste and flavour.
  • In the same hot ghee fry cashews and almonds.
  • Fry raisins do not burn them.
  • Grind Boondhi in a mixie jar coarsely to get the texture of Tirupathi Laddu.
  • You can also grind half of the Boondhi and mix. Transfer to a plate.
  • Let us make sugar syrup. Add 250-300 g sugar in a pan.
  • Add water till sugar is immersed only a little water.
  • Add cardamom and mix well. Stir well and boil till single-string consistency. Keep everything ready to mix and prepare Laddu.
  • Now add the sugar syrup to the prepared Boondhi, Add all other ingredients dry nuts, raisins, sugar candy
  • Add a little ghee and mix thoroughly. Leave it for a minute or 2
  • Try to make Laddu when it's still hot. Press well to make a round shape. You can make it in the desired shape and size.
  • Tirupathi Laddu is ready after it cools down store it in a tight box.
