Watermelon Drink

Watermelon juice can always serve as a great refreshing drink at any time of the day. Watermelon can be used to make lemonades and iced teas. It can also be paired with syrups, mint and basil to make a variety of drinks. Get a fresh watermelon from the farmer's market, soak it in water for a couple of hours, and then dice it in small cubes.

Method to prepare:

  • Get those cubed pieces of watermelon in your blender.
  • Add one spoon of lime juice to it and blend them together.
  • Take a glass and put some mint leaves in it.
  • Strain your blended juice and your drink is ready.

Sour Grapes

Have you thought that those grapes lying on your breakfast table can save you from dehydrating on a day out? Sour grapes are an excellent option if one likes the sour taste. Combined with the fruitiness of the grapes, use mint and other garnishes to harness the flavour of sour grapes. Here is the method to quench your thirst with the help of grapes.

Method to prepare:

  • Give your grapes a good rinse (do not dry them)
  • Add some gelatin mix in a shallow dish.
  • Time to get them rolling! Roll your wet grapes in the Jello.
  • You can use a spoon or a toothpick while rolling those green sour grapes or you will probably end up with dirty fingers.
  • Pop these little gems in the container and refrigerate.
  • Enjoy them on the summery days.

Mint Lemonade

The mint leaves are another ingredient in your fridge that will help you stay cool when the day is too hot. Mint is a versatile ingredient that can enhance fruity flavours. It can be muddled into the drink, or the leaves can be used as a whole. The easiest recipe that included mint is making mint lemonade. 

Method to prepare:

  • Take 1/2 cup sugar and add water to make sugar syrup
  • Take a hand full of mint leaves. Extract the juice of mint in a mortar and pestle by using a little amount of water. Strain it.
  • Now add some mint leaves, ice cubes, mint extract, sugar syrup, a pinch of salt, lemon juice and soda in a glass. Stir it well and serve it.
