Pollution is a major threat that has been seen as a cause for many illnesses. Pollution also has a bad effect on the eyes. Proper eye care is a must if you want to protect your eyes against a number of illnesses. Air pollution is one of the top reason for eye problems. A  rise in pollution can often lead to eye irritation, which then leads to eye redness, watery eyes, and a sensation of burning.   • Drink plenty of water
  • Quit smoking
  • Avoid visiting industrialised areas where pollution levels are high
  • Close car windows in the peak hours, traffic can cause air pollution
  • Wash your hands always, after or before eating or after you reach back home

How to protect your lungs?

  • Make sure to get a convenient smog mask of good quality. Such masks are a good precaution to take before going out because they can flush out harmful toxins.
  • Download some apps of air quality in real-time. Such devices track hourly measurements and can give you a good estimate of what the next day's air condition will be. Additionally, you can also invest in an indoor air filter to ensure clean air inside the house.
  • Make sure you have a good amount of healthy food. Drinking plenty of water and an increase in the consumption of healthy food can protect the lungs from air pollution. Good food and water will keep the lungs and liver healthy to deal with air pollution.
