Ever since President of The United States, Donald Trump has posted the photo of a service Belgian Malinois dog on Twitter, people have evidently gained interest in this breed of dogs. Often used as military service dogs, the Belgian Malinois is an active and hard-working breed of dogs. The breed has been effective in drug-sniffing, bomb detection and also search and rescue.

This isn't the first time when this breed of dogs has come to the limelight. The 2015 film Max also featured a Belgian Malinois which evidently made people more interested in this breed. But, is this breed of dogs the ideal match to be your house pet?

The Belgian Malinois is predominantly a smart breed of dogs. Their strength lies in both physical and mental capabilities. This breed is known for its problem-solving abilities and also are well-known guard dogs. But all these aspects might not be required for a family dog. Though this breed can be an ideal fit for some, it may not be the case for others.

This breed is known to play the role od a guard or a protector which makes them a perfect fit if you're looking for a watchdog. To consider this dog as an option as a family dog will not be vital to everyone. People who spend most of their home time indoors are not advised to keep this dog as a family dog, as this breed loves to be outdoors, exploring the world. People looking for a companion for their wild adventures in nature can surely consider this breed as it will be the perfect fit for you.
