Houston Rockets registered a 111-102 home win over the Indiana Pacers earlier this week. A game-high return of 44 points for Rockets' bearded superstar James Harden means that Harden has now moved up to 55 on the NBA all-time scoring list. James Harden has now scored a total of 19,088 points in his NBA career, and he does not look like slowing down any time soon. Harden clinched his 19,088th point in classic Harden fashion with his patented step-back three-pointer. He returned with figures of eight rebounds, five assists and four steals during the win. The Rockets' win over Indiana Pacers was their sixth consecutive win this season.

James Harden's dominating stats

James Harden's 44-point game means that he is now the NBA's leading scorer. The Rockets superstar averages 38.7 points on 42.0 per cent shooting from the field. Houston Rockets are now sitting near the top of the Western Conference standings with a 9-3 record so far this season. The decision to snap up Russell Westbrook to pair him with one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA is clearly paying dividends for the Rockets this season.

James Harden's form will once again see him competing for the title of NBA MVP this season. The Rockets superstar finished a close second to Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo last season. This season, however, Harden's scoring average is the highest the NBA has seen in the last 50 years, which could quite possibly see him topple the Bucks' star this season. Barring any major injuries, James Harden could very well break into the top 50 of the all-time NBA scoring list before the end of the season.
