The Portland Trail Blazers are going to sign Carmelo Anthony to a non-guaranteed deal, according to NBA reports. Anthony was traded by the Houston Rockets in the previous season and has since been out of the league. According to NBA reports, the Trail Blazers were always interested in Anthony. However, Anthony did not seem too keen on signing a deal with the team. Blazers are currently looking to fill the vacancies which were left by Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic. Anthony will be a good fit for the team and prove to be a solid replacement. After the NBA 2018-19 season, Rockets traded Anthony to the Chicago Bulls.

The forward is a 10-time NBA All-Star and has a career average of 24 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists. The same sources state that Anthony will be joining the Trail Blazers for their road trip and will face the Rockets on Monday night. The deal will reportedly pay Anthony $14,490 for every day he is on the roster. If Anthony is still on the roster by January 7, 2020, the deal will be fully guaranteed.
