Delhi Capitals will be looking to overcome their six wicket loss against Chennai Super Kings as they face two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Saturday. Kolkata, on the other hand, will be looking to register a hat-trick of wins and also continue to be on top of the table.
KKR were put into bat after Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer had won the toss. At one stage they were reeling at 61/5 and that is when Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik stitched in a 95 run stand for the sixth wicket and took KKR to a fighting total of 185/8 in their 20 overs.
Once again it was Andre Russell who took the Delhi bowlers to all corners of the Feroz Shah Kotla. He was outstanding with the bat in KKR's third straight game. He scored a quickfire 28-ball 62 at a strike rate of 221.43 which included four boundaries and six maximums. Apart from this splendid knock, the West-Indian all-rounder also bagged the 'Orange Cap' for amassing 159 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 248.43. He also completed 1000 IPL runs in this game. Twitterati showered praises on the big man.
