Here's Harsha Bhogle's opinion sans-tone on Ravi Shastri continuing as Team India Head Coach

Counting Ravi Shastri reappointment as the head coach as a certainty in what he termed as a 'world that was unpredictable', Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle said that he was not surprised with the former Indian cricketer continuing as the coach for the Men in Blue.

Counting Ravi Shastri reappointment as the head coach as a certainty in what he termed as a 'world that was unpredictable', Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle said that he was not surprised with the former Indian cricketer continuing as the coach for the Men in Blue.

The three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) led by Kapil Dev announced Ravi Shastri as the body's choice among other cricketers who had appeared for the interviews namely - Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, and Mike Hesson. Shastri will now continue to coach the men's senior team for the next 26 months. 

Harsha Bhogle took to Twitter to post his opinion sans-tone on Shastri being reappointed as head coach, keeping his opinion, if there was any, in suspense. Read Bhogle's tweet here:

The Indian commentator pointed out the major challenges that India were up for next in the coming two years and said that they not only play two T20 World Cups but also four Tests in Australia, 10 Tests against England and he hinted at India making to the finals of the ICC World Test Championships if they had a chance. All these were pointed out by the analyst as the challenges that the Men in Blue would face with Shastri at the helm for the next two years.

Smooth transition and best fielding unit: Shastri reveals plans for future

Ravi Shastri laid out his plans for the Men in Blue over the next two years and placed a large focus on the smooth transition of the team by the end of his tenure. Shastri said that the team was going to see a huge influx of youngsters in the coming days and that it was exciting and essential to nurture and groom them for the big leagues.

The head coach laid out special emphasis on making India the best fielding side in the world. He said that fielding was a very important part of the game and that the team was already an excellent fielding unit. 

"Whosoever wants to play for Team India in the future, their fielding skills will also be taken seriously as Iwant to make India the best fielding side in the world", he said.
