Suryakumar Yadav on the verge of breaking Dawid Malan's record

Suryakumar Yadav is continuing his reign at the top of the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings and has now reached the highest ranking of his career. Surya now has 908 ranking points and he is just two ranking points away from breaking the all-time highest ranking points record. Dawid Malan has the record of having the highest T20I ranking points record. When Dawid Malan was the number 1 T20I batsman he touched 910 ranking points which was the highest by any player of all time.

Surya still has to play the 3rd T20 International vs New Zealand and if he scores another half-century in this match then he can easily break Dawid Malan's record. 

Surya has won India matches at his own will in T20I's for the past year. Surya has been pivotal in India's success in the T20I format and has redefined 20-over cricket with his innovative batting. Surya doesn't leave any area of the ground to hit shots and he certainly has two types of shorts for every ball. Suryakumar would look to continue his rich vein of form against New Zealand as India plays the Kiwis in the T20I series decider.
