South Africa are currently in India for a tour of limited-overs matches and three Tests. The final T20I recently ended with South Africa beating India by nine wickets, with the series ending in a 1-1 draw. Though they were not able to win the series, the Indian Team has performed well and the players broke a number of records. Here are three Men in Blue moments from the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa.

Rohit Sharma joins MS Dhoni in memorable T20I list

Vice-captain Rohit Sharma recently achieved a major landmark in his career. He has now played the most T20Is for India along with former Indian captain MS Dhoni. Until now, both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have played 98 T20Is in their career. Suresh Raina is in third place with 78 matches and Virat Kohli is number four with 72 T20Is.

Virat Kohli becomes highest T20I run-scorer

Virat Kohli earlier became the highest run-scorer in Twenty20 Internationals. Until now, Kohli has scored 2,450 runs in 67 innings. He has achieved this milestone by breaking the record of his teammate Rohit Sharma. Rohit has scored 2,443 runs in 90 innings. Kohli achieved this record in the second T20I against South Africa.

India defeats South Africa in the 2nd T20I

India beat South Africa by seven wickets in the second T20 International in Mohali courtsey a fantastic knock by captain Virat Kohli, who scored 72 runs. He was given the Man of the Match award for his match-winning knock. After winning the toss in the second T20I, India chose to bowl first and the decision paid off as the Men in Blue restricted South Africa to a mere 149/5. In response, the Indian openers set the tone right from the beginning of the second innings. Shikhar Dhawan scored 40 runs before getting caught by David Miller. Virat Kohli came in and had a 61-run partnership with Dhawan. Pant, who came in for Dhawan only added four runs before getting picked by Tabraiz Shamsi. Shreyas Iyer came in next and he helped Kohli to comfortably finish off the match.
