India opener Rohit Sharma scored his 6th Test century in the third Test of the India vs South Africa series on Saturday at Ranchi. This was Rohit’s third hundred in the series after the twin hundreds he scored in the first test match in Vishakapatnam. In his first series as an opener, Rohit has broken many records including the most runs in an India vs South Africa series. Rohit’s six-hitting abilities were not absent in the longest format of the game as he continued to display his clean hitting at every opportunity possible. 17- Rohit Sharma – India vs South Africa (2019)

Rohit Sharma’s six-hitting abilities were on display throughout the India vs South Africa series. After hitting 13 sixes in the first test; six in the first innings and seven in the second, Rohit added four more to his tally in the third test en-route his hundred. Sharma, who is India’s most prolific six-hitter, broke Shimron Hetmyer’s record when he blasted spinner Dane Piedt for back-to-back sixes in the 41st over of the innings.

15- Shimron Hetmyer- Bangladesh vs West Indies (2018)

Shimron Hetmyer hit 15 sixes in the 2-Test match series in Bangladesh. Hetmyer hit 9 sixes in the second innings of the second test, scoring 93 off just 92 balls. Hetmyer’s batting was the only positive as West Indies slumped to an innings and 184 runs defeat.

14 - Harbhajan Singh – India vs New Zealand (2010)

Harbhajan Singh finished the 3-match Test series as the 4th highest run-getter with 315 runs, scoring one fifty and two centuries. He hit 7 sixes in his unbeaten 111 in the second test, helping India secure a draw. Harbhajan Singh hit three sixes each in the two innings of the first test and hit one more in the third test to end the series with 14 sixes.

14 - Kevin Pietersen- England vs Australia (2005)

Kevin Pietersen made giant strides in the 2005 Ashes. In a closely fought series, Pietersen hit 14 sixes, finishing the series as the highest run-scorer with 473 runs in 10 innings. Pietersen hit seven sixes in his 158 in the second innings of the fifth test, helping England draw the game and take the Ashes.
