Rohit Sharma's comeback to Test cricket has been nothing less than remarkable. The 'Hitman' managed to silence his critics who were questioning his place in the longest format of the game. He had scored centuries in both innings of the first Test at Vizag and was also adjudged Man of the Match. The opener then suffered a setback in the following Test at Pune where he was dismissed early. However, it seems that he had learned from his failure as he played a magnificent knock in the third and final Test at Ranchi which earned him praises from the experts.

Rohit Sharma lauded by experts/commentators

After Rohit had scored his sixth Test century on Saturday, renowned cricketing experts came forward to hail the Hitman which included the likes of Harsha Bhogle, Sanjay Manjrekar, and Aakash Chopra.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, Harsha Bhogle wrote that the extremely classy display of batsmanship from Rohit and Rahane has severely dented South Africa's optimism. The 'Voice of Indian Cricket' had also hailed Sharma's hard-working fifty earlier.

Sanjay Manjrekar wrote that the limited-overs vice captain's knock was simply gorgeous.

Aakash Chopra also came forward to hail Rohit's century and termed the current one as the best by a fair margin because it was not easy to see through the first session. The cricketer-turned-commentator then hailed him for activating the  ‘beast’ mode and added that nobody hits sweeter sixes than the Mumbai batsman.

Rohit Sharma saw off the new ball well after India had lost their top order early on in the innings and were reduced to 39/3. Rohit then added 185 runs for the fourth-wicket stand. The Hitman brought up his sixth Test ton with a six. He also completed 2000 runs in Test cricket during this knock.
