Team India will be aiming for a clean sweep in the Caribbean after winning the One Day International series by an unassailable 2-0 lead against West Indies which was preceded by a 3-0 whitewash over the hosts in the T20Is.
After a formidable outing in the limited-overs, the focus now shifts to the longest format of the game with both sides locking horns in the two-match Test series. The first Test will be played in Antigua from August 22-26 while the second and final Test will be played at Kingston Jamaica from August 30- September 3. The Test series will also mark Team India's ICC World Championship schedule. However, before the series begins, India took on West Indies A in Antigua on Saturday in a practice match. In fact, it is a three-day warm-up match. During the warm-up match, there was something which was revealed and it ended up grabbing attention.
You have heard that one right. India won the toss against West Indies A and elected to bat first and when both the openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal walked out to the middle, the Indian team's new jersey was finally revealed. As per ICC's implementation for the World Test Championship, players of all Test-playing nations will have their names and numbers behind their jerseys. Similar was the case with Rahul and Mayank as they had their names as well as numbers 1 and 14 respectively printed on the back of their jerseys.
The video of the two batsmen walking out to bat in the new team jersey was posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official Twitter handle.
