Jonny Bairstow said "internal motivators" will decide the outcome of the upcoming Test series between England and the West Indies, and not the fact that the contest will be played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The first Test between the sides will begin on 8th July at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton with no fans present.

Bairstow, who was left out of the England squad which had been due to take part in a two-Test tour of Sri Lanka back in March, said he is "not ruling anything out" in terms of whether he would play wicket-keeper or batsman during a recall.

The 30-year-old also said it is too early to consider how players might transition from Test to one-day cricket while still observing COVID-19 protocols.
