Q and A anyone?— Dale Steyn (@DaleSteyn62) November 16, 2019
Steyn, who is active on Twitter, did a Q and A session with his fans where his fans got to interact with him closely. Thereafter, a fan asked him about which team would he like to join for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League as he has been released by RCB. The 36-year-old replied to his fan writing that he will join whichever team that can afford him.
Dale, honestly which team do you want to play for in IPL 2020?— Drishti :) (@drishti_raina3) November 16, 2019
Whoever can afford me 😉— Dale Steyn (@DaleSteyn62) November 16, 2019
The Proteas bowler was released by RCB due to fitness issues. He has been suffering from various issues related to his shoulder and ankle since 2016. It led to the degradation of his form and reduced his number of appearances. Steyn suffered a shoulder injury in Australia and he missed a year of cricket as he has undergone surgery for it. In 2018, he returned to cricket against India where he suffered an ankle injury and he gradually took retirement from Test Cricket.
Apart from Steyn, RCB has released 12 players before the auction. And, they currently go into the auctions with a purse of the budget of Rs.27.9 crore. Meanwhile, Moeen Ali and AB de Villiers were the only overseas players who were not released by the Indian Premier League franchise, RCB.
