The Mzansi Super League, the premier T20 tournament of South Africa, debuted in 2018 and is all set to begin with its second season on November 16. With the IPL auctions in December, team managements will have their eyes glued to the competition to bid big for the players they find fit for their teams. In this article, we take a look at five Mzansi Super League players who outperformed and may a trigger bidding war at the upcoming auction.

Rassie van der Dussen

The 30-year-old was a spectacular performer in the last season of the Mzansi League. He scored 469 runs in 12 matches with a high score of an unbeaten 96. He has made his white-ball debuts for South Africa in 2019 so it may be about time that he made his IPL debut. His explosive batting could of good use to the teams who're struggling with their top order.

Reeza Hendricks

Another top-order batsman, Reeza made his debut for the Proteas in T20I cricket as early as 2014. He finished the last season of the league with 412 runs which included two spectacular hundreds and 20 sixes. He even made a century in his ODI debut for the Proteas which came in 2018.

Duanne Oliver

The 27-year-old fast bowler ended the league as its highest wicket-taker. He took 20 wickets with an economy of 7.88. His best figures were 3/30. He made his Test debut for South Africa in 2017.

Lutho Sipamla

The 21-year-old pacer took 16 wickets for the Tshwane Spartans in the 2018 season. He was the joint-second highest wicket-taker in the tournament. His best figures were 3/19. Lutho made his South Africa debut in 2019.

Gihahn Cloete

The Tshwane Spartans wicketkeeper-batsman was an important fixture in the team. Not only was he the tournament's most successful wicket-keeper with 15 dismissals but also was the fourth-highest run-getter in the tournament with 330 runs under his belt. His high score was 80. Cloete made his T20I debut for the Proteas in October against Zimbabwe.
