KL Rahul scored his second century in One Day international cricket, with the first coming on his debut against Zimbabwe. 

Rahul and Rohit Sharma shared a 189-run stand, helping India to cruise along while chasing the target. After having great starts in the ongoing tournament, the right-handed opener had not managed to capitalize on the situation until the last match of the group stage against Sri Lanka.

Rahul's knock of 111 consisted of 11 fours and a six before he was dismissed by Lasith Malinga in the 40th over. KL Rahul came into the team as a replacement for the injured Shikhar Dhawan and has made the most of the opportunity. 

Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle wished the young lad and said that he was a rare talent who was there to stay in the national side. He wrote, "His life has been coated with turbulence recently. Hopefully this century will remind KL Rahul once again that he is a rare talent and here to stay.
