MS Dhoni back to the grind, starts training with Jharkhand U-23 team

MS Dhoni is likely to participate in the training sessions with the Jharkhand U-23 team that is scheduled to leave for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20s

All eyes are on former skipper MS Dhoni as fans are still eagerly awaiting his return to the field after India crashed out of the semi-finals of the World Cup. Despite two series passing by after the World Cup, the buzz around MS Dhoni's future has refused to die down, with both fans and members of the cricketing fraternity anxious to know what the World Cup-winning captain's next step would be. MS Dhoni had recused himself from India's tour of West Indies and had gone on to join the Territorial Army for a two-week stint that included MS Dhoni carrying out border patrolling and guard duties. MS Dhoni's retirement rumours have been doing rounds on the internet for over three months now, however, there is no word yet from the man himself.

MS Dhoni back to the grind

MS Dhoni was recently spotted at his hometown Ranchi, where he visited the Indian dressing room at the JSCA Stadium during the third and final Test against South Africa. MS Dhoni is likely to participate in a training session with the Jharkhand U-23 team that is scheduled to leave for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20s commencing on November 8, according to media reports. MS Dhoni spoke to a member of the senior Jharkhand team, however, since the U-23 team was scheduled to depart for their fixtures soon, he will be training with the team, according to media reports.

Sourav Ganguly makes a huge statement on MS Dhoni

The new BCCI President responded to a question on MS Dhoni's retirement and said that it was the wicketkeeper-batsman's call to make. citing his own example, Sourav Ganguly narrated how he was left out of the team but staged a comeback while everyone counted him out and continued to play for four years after that. Hailing MS Dhoni as a 'champion', Sourav Ganguly said that India was very proud to have a cricketer like MS Dhoni and that champions did not finish quickly. Sourav Ganguly said that he did not know about MS Dhoni's future plans and called him one of the greats of the game.

" If you sit down and take note MS Dhoni's achievements, you will say wow! it is M S Dhoni. Till I am around everybody will be respected, that doesn't change", said Sourav Ganguly
