Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has a new unfortunate record to his name with the maximum number of first-ball ducks in Twenty20 International. This unwanted record was made in the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where Pakistan was playing its second 20-20 match against Sri Lanka. Tillakaratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka, Shahid Afridi of Pakistan and Mashrafe Mortaza of Bangladesh come after Umar Akmal for the number of most first-ball ducks in the T-20 International. All the other three have been dismissed 5 times for a first-ball duck. Akmal currently has 10 ducks in the 84 International matches that he played so far for Pakistan Cricket Team.
The batsman now also has a record for the highest number of ducks in a Twenty20 International match. The last time he played a match for his country was against West Indies in Abu Dhabi in the year 2016. In both the T-20 matches against Sri Lanka in the ongoing series, he did not score a single run and got out. In the second 20-20, Sri Lanka scored 182/6 after they opted to bat first. Sri Lanka's Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored the highest with 77 off just 48 balls. Pakistan lost the match since they could not chase the target of 183 and scored 147 runs. Sri Lanka won the series of three matches, with winning two matches in a row. They still have a match left to play with Pakistan on October 9. Pakistan is presently the best team in the world in the shortest format of cricket.
The 29-year-old player has been trolled on social media after he registered this embarrassing record of first-duck balls. A user shared a meme of Munnabhai MBBS where the character Circuit is saying that this finished as soon as it started.

Another user posted a meme video mocking Umar Akmal where a person is bowling. The person runs with the ball in hand and he throws it towards the target. He misses the target and scores a zero in the game.
A third user mocked Misbah Ul-Haq for ruining the careers of Ahmed Shahzad and Umar Akmal.
A fourth user trolled him saying he is the undisputed legend of Pakistan who should be given another chance to break his own world record.
Another user posted a picture of the player with the former cricketer and present PM of Pakistan Imran Khan with a caption suggesting Imran saying that there should be a tax on Akmal's breathing now.
