Rohit Sharma joins Virat Kohli & Bumrah atop ICC's ODI rankings

India will next host West Indies for a three-match ODI series starting December 15 before they host Australia for another three-match ODI series in January

Considered as one of the best batsman in the world currently, Indian skipper Virat Kohli retained the top spot in the ICC ODI rankings despite not playing any ODI since August. Captain Kohli last played in August against West Indies where he scored a spectacular century to help India register a series win and also bag the Man of the Match Award. The recently released rankings also feature Indian opener Rohit Sharma who has been on a run spree in 2019 and has secured the second spot whereas Pakistan's star batsman, Babar Azam and South Africa's du Plessis enjoyed the third and the fourth position respectively.

Indians top the table

Indian skipper Virat Kohli, with 895 points sits on the throne of the best batsman in the world as per the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council. The skipper also enjoys a clear difference of 32 points between the first and the second position. The Indian skipper is followed by his deputy, Rohit Sharma, who is currently considered to be in the best form of his entire career. Sharma, who notched up five centuries in the recently concluded ICC World Cup in England, sits on the second position with 863 points, that is, 29 points clear of the third position held by Pakistan's Babar Azam. India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah also tops the ICC ODI bowlers ranking as he enjoys the top spot with 797 points with a massive lead of 57 points ahead of New Zealand's Trent Boult. Afghanistan's prodigy Mujeeb Ur Rahman climbed up spots to secure the third position with 707 points. India's Hardik Pandya featured as the lone in Indian in the top 10 All Rounder Rankings and featured on the 10th position with 246 points. England's Ben Stokes tops the All Rounder list with 319 points.

India's ODI schedule 

India will next host West Indies for a three-match ODI series starting December 15 before they host Australia for another three-match ODI series in January next year. Skipper Kohli will be looking forward to rule the top spot, however, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya might fear missing out as both of them have been recovering from injuries.
