16-year-old pacer Naseem Shah recently played for Pakistan in two warm-up games against Australia A and Cricket Australia XI. The cricketer is also likely to make his international debut in the upcoming two-match Test series against the Australian team. The young pacer, however, has already impressed many with his fast bowling skills. Even former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar praised the young bowler for his temperament.
On his YouTube channel, Shoaib Akhtar spoke highly about Naseem Shah’s promising skills and temperament on the field. Akhtar even went on to compare his temperament with that of Indian captain Virat Kohli by making a comparison between the two. Shah recently received the news of his mother passing away and yet the bowler decided to stay back in Australia for the practice matches. Long ago, even Virat Kohli returned to play for his domestic team Delhi just one day after his father passed away.

In his video, Akhtar added that Pakistan has found a solid bowler and with his young age, he also went onto compare him with Mohammad Amir, when he burst into the international scene for the first time. The former cricketer, however, cautioned the team management against putting much pressure on his young shoulders.
After the 0-2 defeat in the T20Is, Pakistan will now face the hosts for the upcoming Test series. The opening match will be played at The Gabba from November 21 onwards and the series will also form a part of the ongoing inaugural ICC World Test Championship.
