Team India smashes records in run-feast Test series against Proteas

After Rohit Sharma scored 200 in the 3rd test against SA, this is the first time ever that three Indian batsmen have scored a double century in the same series.

India have completely dominated South Africa in the ongoing three-match Test series between them in India. India sealed the series victory in the second match itself by thumping the Proteas by a margin of an innings and 137 runs. The series has totally belonged to the Indians in all three departments of the games. India will look ahead for a whitewash of South Africa with the third match which is underway at Ranchi. The third match has already witnessed India give a tough time to the Africans as Rohit Sharma notched up his maiden Test double century. With his double century, this is the first time ever that three Indian batsmen have scored a double century in the same Test series.

Mayank, Kohli and now Rohit

In the first match of the Test series at Vishakhapatnam, Mayank Agarwal notched up his maiden test double ton as he scored 215 off 371 balls smashing 6 sixes and 23 fours and helped India put up a massive score of 502 in the first innings. Rohit Sharma also scored centuries in both the innings of the match to help India win the first match by 203 runs. The second test saw skipper Virat Kohli smash records and runs as he scored a 'daddy' hundred and helped India win the match with his 254 off 336 balls. In the third match which is currently underway, Rohit Sharma brought up his maiden double century in style with a six as scored 212 off 255 balls with a strike rate of 83.15

Indian team dominates SA in the third Test so far

South Africa got off to a brilliant start as their pace attack led by Kagiso Rabada rattled the Indian top order and reduced the Indians to 39 for 3 with Cheteshwar Pujara getting out on a duck. India's deputy test skipper Rahane and Rohit then took it on themselves to steady the innings. Rahane played a fantastic innings went on to score a brilliant century before getting out on 115 off 192 balls. This was Rahane's first century since 2016 whereas India's new Test opener, Rohit Sharma smashed a double ton and kept his blazing form on.
