Kohli starts the note by asking himself to cherish his father's morning hugs and jokes about his height. He knows his past self is thinking about the shoes his father did not get him and wants himself to know that father always wants what is best for him even though he might appear strict. Kohli knows that his past self does not think his father understands him and asks his younger self to remember that family loves unconditionally. Kohli hoped his past self had spent more time with his father and told him he loved him more often. Kohli tells himself to love and respect his father, and let him know he is loved every day.
