Kolkata Knight Riders finally got back to winning ways after beating Mumbai Indians by 34 runs at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. This was also KKR's final home game of the season.

After their convincing win, the pioneer of KKR's win Andre Russell was seen having a chat with his wife Jassym Lora. Russell who was adjudged 'Man of the Match' for his outstanding all-round performance had another reason to celebrate as the big West Indian all-rounder was to turn a year older on Monday (April 29).

While sharing the mic with his better half, Russell said that his job was to ensure that his fans are happy at the end of the day and to impress his beautiful wife every game. Post which Mrs. Russell asked him whether he thinks that his beautiful wife is his lucky charm. 'Yes. Of course', replied Russell.  Jassym then wished her hubby a 'Happy Birthday' after which the big Caribbean power-hitter thanked her and they both shared a hug.

The video of Russell having a conversation with his better half was posted on Twitter. Watch it here.

Andre Russell played a stellar knock of an unbeaten 40-ball 80 at a strike rate of 200 which included six boundaries and eight maximums. His knock helped the hosts get to a mammoth total of 232/2 in their 20 overs. Russell also provided breakthroughs for KKR with the ball by picking up the wickets of Evin Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav. He finished his bowling spell with figures of 2/25 in his four overs at an economy of 6.25.

Before Russell's spectacular knock, KKR openers Chris Lynn and Shubman Gill had added 96 runs for the opening wicket.

In reply, Mumbai's run chase never took off as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Hardik Pandya waged a lone battle with a splendid knock of a 34-ball 91. His blistering knock helped Mumbai get to 198/7 in their 20 overs.
