It seems that MS Dhoni cannot be kept away from action against Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on Friday.  He has been grabbing the spotlight even before the on-field action began. The local crowd at Vizag vociferously cheered for Mahi after the coin in landed in his favour and had no hesitation in bowling first. He then got a DRS right which was instrumental in dismissing young Prithvi Shaw. The three-time IPL winner added yet another feather in his cap and this time, it was due to his action behind the stumps.

It happened in the sixth over which was bowled by Harbhajan Singh and Shikhar Dhawan was on strike. On the second ball, Bhajji bowled one outside the off stump as Dhawan went for a big cut shot. However, he ended up edging the ball and it went straight into the safe hands of Dhoni. The CSK skipper-cum-wicket-keeper fumbled in the first attempt but then made up for it within no time and ended up taking a perfect catch as CSK celebrated a huge wicket and a well-set Dhawan walked back to the dugout.

The winner will face Mumbai India in the summit clash on Sunday in Hyderabad. Delhi will be confident heading into this contest after two consecutive wins while CSK have lost their previous two games. At the same time, Delhi will be eyeing their maiden IPL final berth as they have made it to the playoffs after a long wait of seven years. However, the MS Dhoni-led CSK have the experience of handling pressure while playing in these crunch knockout games.

MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first. The CSK bowlers bowled tightly and picked up wickets at regular intervals. Only Colin Munro played an impactful knock of a 24-ball 27.
