West Indies cricketer Ashley Nurse celebrated taking a wicket in Kapil Sharma style after which its video went viral. The footage is of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) final which was held on 12 October between Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors. Ashley Nurse imitated the popular 'Babaji Ka Thullu' gesture which was started by India's famous comedian Kapil Sharma in his show Comedy Nights with Kapil. Kapil Sharma saw the video of Ashley's celebration and shared the Twitter post with a laughter reaction. Commentator Ian Bishop said that Nurse's gesture was in honour of his friend Sunny Sohal, whom he met during a CPL season.

The video which was originally shared by a Twitter user was reshared by the popular Indian comedy star Kapil Sharma. The post shared by Sharma, received 31,000 views, 4,200 likes and 183 retweets. A user tagged Ian Bishop in the comments below and wrote that Kapil Sharma is the one who invented the 'Babaji ka Thullu' slang and he should ask the comedian the meaning of it. Another user wrote that Kapil is famous in the whole world with some emojis. A third user posted a GIF from a scene of Tom Cruise's famous movie Top Gun where he is seen giving hi-five to a fellow actor. Another user wrote to Kapil that he is famous even in the cricket league CPL.

He did the step first in a match against India
The West Indes bowler Nurse did the gesture for the first time in October 2018 during an international match against India in Pune. The off-spinner got hold of the Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and later went on with this carefree celebration. Ashley Nurse clarified that he took in this festival from his Indian companion Sunny Sohal, whom he met during CPL. Medical caretaker uncovered that he was devoting the celebration to his Indian friend, who requested that he do the 'Babaji ka Thullu' signature step whenever he gets a wicket.
