Hosts England beat Bangladesh by a comprehensive margin of 106 runs at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Saturday. By the virtue of this win, they avenged their last two World Cup losses in 2011 and 2015. In fact, that loss in 2015 had knocked the Eoin Morgan side out of the competition in the group stages four years back.

Coming back to this contest, it was an eventful day for the English team in both their innings. During the first innings, opener Jason Roy had a collision with the on-field umpire Joel Wilson, who landed flat on the ground, but nothing untoward happened as the official got back to his feet as the English balcony especially Ben Stokes and skipper Morgan were seen having a hearty laugh.

However, England witnessed yet another extraordinary moment when they came out to defend their target of 386. This happened in the fourth over of Bangladesh's innings which was bowled by Jofra Archer and Soumya Sarkar was on strike. Archer bowled a quicker one which went right through the defence of Sarkar and ended up disturbing his timber. But, the most astonishing thing about this dismissal was that even though the ball went through the gates of the left-handed batsmed, it travelled over the wicketkeeper's head and landed behind the boundary rope.

The video of this incident was posted on ICC's official Twitter handle. Watch the video here.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions after the cricket fans got the privilege of watching something special.

After being put into bat by Mashrafe Mortaza, England scored a huge total of 386/6 riding on Jason Roy's 121-ball 153. In reply, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan's century kept Bangladesh. However, apart from Mushfiqur Rahim, he did not get any support as Bangladesh were bowled out for 280.
