Liverpool, the current UEFA Champions League winners, will be visiting Stamford Bridge for a Premier League (PL) clash against Chelsea on Sunday, September 22. The rivalry between these clubs goes back in time and this fixture is considered to be one of the high profile games during the season. There have been a number of players who have played for both the clubs in the past. Here's a list of players who donned the blue and red kits.

Footballers who played for Chelsea and Liverpool

Mohamed Salah

The current Liverpool forward, who has scored 58 goals for the club in his 79 Premier League appearances, is a former Chelsea player. In two seasons (2013/14 and 2014/15), Salah made only 13 appearances and scored three goals under Chelsea's former manager, Jose Mourinho. Mourinho made him sit on the bench almost every game and introduced him as a substitute. Salah then played for AS Roma before returning to the Premier League and establishing himself as one of the best forwards in the game.

All the Anfield fans adored Fernando Torres until he made a shocking switch to Chelsea in a £50 million deal. It comparatively seemed to be a downfall for the striker as he scored just 45 goals in 172 appearances for the Blues.
