England captain Harry Kane: 'We will celebrate the history of England'

England captain Harry Kane has said that it will be a special moment to lead England at Wembley on Friday. England face Montenegro for what will be the country’s 1,000th international men's football match. Harry Kane said that it will be a fantastic opportunity to mark and celebrate the history of the nation.

Harry Kane, quoted in British media, said that everyone involved in the game will be extremely proud to represent England on a special occasion like this. He also said that as a fan, the one game that sticks out for him is England’s 5-1 demolition of Germany in 2001. Kane said it was a special night for him, who was 8-years-old at the time, saw Michael Owen score a decisive hat-trick.

Harry Kane: Will never forget my England debut

As an England player, Harry Kane said he can never forget his England debut. Kane was called up to Roy Hodgson’s national team squad after a scintillating campaign for Tottenham Hotspur. Harry Kane was appointed England captain for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He won the Golden Boot, scoring 6 goals at the competition.
