Real Madrid star Gareth Bale was all set to join CSL club Jiangsu Suning in the summer, but the deal collapsed when Madrid wanted the Chinese club to pay a hefty transfer fee. Bale once again seems to be out of favour with manager Zinedine Zidane after he has been sparingly used even when fit, but Zinedine Zidane seems to disagree.

LaLiga rumour mill

Gareth Bale travelled to the UK before Real Madrid's game against Leganes which he'll anyway miss through an injury. He reportedly used the trip to meet his agent Jonathan Barnett, as rumours surrounding his future started to re-circulate. Zidane, when asked to comment on the situation insisted that Bale was allowed to leave the capital owing to personal reasons. He added that the attacker sought permission from the club officials and was instantly granted the same.

LaLiga: Gareth Bale's time at Real Madrid

Real Madrid paid a then-world record of £85.3m to sign Gareth Bale from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in September 2013. In his time at the Bernabeu, he has won the UEFA Champions League four times, the Club World Cup three times, and the Uefa Super Cup three times, as well as La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de Espana. Though he has repeatedly been linked with an exit, Bale still plies his trade in the Spanish capital and situation seems more convoluted than ever.
