Shahzad does a Ben Stokes

Memories are still fresh of the Ben Stokes' fascinating one-handed catch to dismiss Andile Phehlukwayo during England's match against South Africa at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. But on Wednesday, UAE's Rameez Shahzad may have given us an equally, if not more, brilliant catch. As Scotland's George Munsey batted on 65, he lofted one towards long-off. In a shot which looked like a certain boundary, if not a six, the ball landed straight into the right hand of Shahzad, who managed to take a blinder of a catch which reminded many fans of Ben Stokes and West Indies' Kieron Pollard.

Scotland qualify for the T20 World Cup

On Wednesday, Scotland easily beat UAE to progress into the semi-finals of the qualifiers and also guarantee their spot in next year's T20 World Cup which will take place in Australia. After Scotland skipper Kyle Coetzer won the toss and chose to bat first, George Munsey held his end of the wicket to give his team a solid start and got 65 runs before being dismissed by Ahmed Raza as Rameez Shahzad took a spectacular catch. Richie Berrington scored a quickfire 48 off 18 balls to get Scotland to a competitive 198. UAE could not manage much in return and crumbled at a measly 108. Their best batting effort came from Rameez Shahzad itself, who scored 34. Scotland's best bowlers were Safyaan Sharif and Mark Watt who took three wickets each.
