UEFA Champions League: Juventus had a comfortable 3-0 victory against Bayer Leverkusen in Turin in their second clash of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Current Serie A title holders, Juventus, had a comfortable 3-0 victory against Bayer Leverkusen in Turin on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League 2019-20 season. Gonzalo Higuain, Federico Bernardeschi and Cristiano Ronaldo were on target to put Juventus in cruise control. Gonzalo Higuain provided a clean finish in the 17th minute to put his side ahead and assisted Federico Bernardeschi to double Juve’s lead in the 61st minute. Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri will be happy to see an in-form Higuain, who was criticised for his difficult 2018-19 season. Cristiano Ronaldo made it 3-0 and gave Juventus a comfortable win.

UEFA Champions League: Juventus vs Bayer Leverkusen match report
Gonzalo Higuain scored the opening goal of the match. Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky denied Higuain a second goal with a counter move as the Argentine forward fired from the left side of the penalty area. In the second half, the Juventus fans were seen celebrating again as Bernardeschi scored the second goal as Higuain showed great effort with his assist. In the 83rd minute, Paulo Dybala came on as a substitute for Higuain and set up the third goal for Juventus and Cristiano Ronaldo’s first for the night.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Real Madrid forward, registered a new record of scoring against 33 different teams in the UEFA Champions League, levelling Raul's record. Juventus are currently on top of Group D with four points, levelling with Atletico Madrid, who had a 0-2 win over Lokomotiv Moscow. Juventus will be facing Inter Milan in Serie A action on Sunday, October 6, 2019. On the other hand, Bayer Leverkusen will host RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
