Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to sort out his future in the next couple of days, according to American media reports. His current club LA Galaxy are expected to hold talks with the former Inter Milan star to get a clearer view on his future at the club. Ibrahimovic, who just turned 38 last month, currently occupies a 'Designated Player' spot at LA Galaxy.

LA Galaxy are facing a conundrum of sorts with the mercurial Swedish striker. With Ibrahimovic occupying a Designated Player spot at the club, it will be difficult for LA Galaxy to opt for the transfer of Cristian Pavon from Boca Juniors. Pavon is currently on loan with LA Galaxy, but the terms of the loan give the MLS club an option to buy the Argentinian in 2020. Interestingly, Ibrahimovic currently draws the highest salary in the MLS with the LA Galaxy top brass paying him a cool $7.2 million this season.
LA Galaxy head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto said that the club are a little unclear on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's situation at the moment. He did, however, say that the MLS club would not proceed with planning for next season without sitting down with Ibrahimovic first. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 52 goals in 56 games for LA Galaxy in addition to 17 assists during the period.
The Swedish striker earlier released a four-second video on Instagram, teasing fans with his probable comeback to Spain. However, there have been rumours linking the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker with a return to Italy. AC Milan and Bologna are reportedly keen on bringing the Swedish maverick to Serie A. There have also been faint rumours linking Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a move to England, with Manchester United's name being thrown into the mix from the rumour mills. Meanwhile, LA Galaxy could look towards bringing Boca Juniors striker Mauro Zarate to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club. However, head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto denied these rumours, stating that he hasn't spoken with the Boca Juniors striker regarding a potential move.
