Pro Kabaddi League 2019 commenced on July 20, 2019, and the league is currently in its Pune leg of the tournament which is scheduled to end on September 20, 2019. Dabang Delhi stands first on the points table with 64 points. Bengal Warriors hold the second place with 58 points while Haryana Steelers have 54 points. 

Pro Kabaddi League's Pune leg kicks off

First face-off between Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriors

Bengal Warriors had a face-off with Puneri Paltan twice until now throughout the league. The first face-off was on 29th July 2019 at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium. Bengal Warriors owned the round with a difference of 20 points with the score 43-23. The Warriors had three successful super-raids while the Puneri Paltan had none. Pankaj Mohite won the Raider of the Match for this one and Baldev Singh won Defender of the Match.

Second Puneri Paltan-Bengal Warriors Face-off

The second time the teams faced each other was on 8th September 2019. The match took place at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata. Puneri Paltan gave the Bengal Warriors a tough fight with this one but were defeated in the end. The score was settled at 42-39 with Bengal Warriors in the lead. The Bengal team had three super-raids in this one. The Raider of the Match was won by Maninder Singh.

While the Bengal Warriors proudly stand second on the points table, Puneri Paltan holds the Tenth position with 34 points. Out of 16 matches that they have played, the Punekars had five wins and nine losses. The Bengal Warriors also played 15 matches out of which they won nine matches and had three losses. The Paltans had two draws while the Warriors had three.
