LeBron James evacuates home in wake of the Los Angeles wildfires

American basketball star LeBron James posted a series of tweets on Monday about how his family had to evacuate from their home. James evacuated his reported $23 million Brentwood residence in California because of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area. After the evacuation, James tweeted that he had been driving all-around to find shelter for his family.

LeBron James evacuates home because of wildfires

James posted three more tweets after finally finding accommodation. In his following tweets, James sent prayers for the other families in the affected area and also sent out his best wishes to the first responders who were helping others in their rescue.

James’ home in Brentwood is in the western Los Angeles area and it lies within the affected region. The star basketballer purchased the house in 2017 before joining Los Angeles Lakers.

California is affected by a series of wildfires which also includes eight in the Los Angeles region. The areas affected in the region also includes Pacific Palisades, Saddleridge and surrounding the Getty Center area. According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, 97% of the fire in Saddleridge was contained till October 23. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) also issued obligatory evacuation orders in the areas which border the 405 Freeway near Getty Center.
