WWE Universe faced heavy backlash from the fans after an unfinished conclusion to the main event Hell In A Cell fight between Universal champion Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt ‘The Fiend’. The rivalry between both was built up for a long period of time and fans expected a thriller at Hell In A Cell PPV. However, the fight was stopped by the referee after Universal champion Seth Rollins threatened to hit Bray Wyatt with a sledgehammer. Both Rollins and Wyatt were kept away from the following Monday Night Raw but The Fiend made his entrance after RAW went off-air and attacked the former US champion Cesaro.
WWE fans were highly upset with the main event result and wanted WWE to answer their doubts. Referee Rod Zapata was verbally attacked by WWE fans for using Kayfabe theme to ruin a match. Bray Wyatt was pinned neither The Fiend tapped but Rollins actions blocked The Fiend from getting his hands on the Universal title. In WWE’s YouTube show The Bump referee Rod Zapata explained the ending of the controversial ending of Rollins and Wyatt
"With Bray motionless, and Seth clearly doing whatever it was going to take to win that match...I had to think of the competitor's safety and at that moment, I did what I thought was best," said referee Zapata
No official statement has been released by the main man Vince McMahon or his daughter Stephanie McMahon. The WWE fans expected to see the rivalry between Rollins and Wyatt continue but it did not find a way after a controversial end. However, WWE have responded in an official statement with a comment on their YouTube show The Bump. The panel guests of the show had a debate on the further decision but the competitors of the main event fight are yet to respond to the fans.
