With more than three weeks still left in the tournament, the ongoing edition of Pro Kabaddi League has already been one of the most closely-fought seasons in PKL’s history. Fourth-placed U Mumba are all set to face Bengaluru Bulls in the first of the double-header to kick-start on September 27 evening at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium
With nine wins in 17 matches, U Mumba are comfortably placed fourth in the PKL points table. The Fazel Atrachali-led side, however, will not breathe a sigh of relief especially during the closing stages of the tournament. U Mumba will be looking to register another victory in their upcoming match against Bengaluru to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. However, U Mumba lost their previous encounter to the Rohit Kumar-led Bengaluru team at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium during the Mumbai leg of the tournament.
Bengaluru Bulls have had a pretty balanced tournament so far. Out of their 18 matches, the Rohit Kumar-led side lost eight games and emerged victorious on nine occasions. The team from Bengaluru will be looking to end their preliminary stage as one of the top six teams on the points table. Going forward, Bengaluru can seek some confidence for their upcoming game as they defeated U Mumba in their previous encounter.
Both teams are pretty much neck-and-neck on the points table. However, due to a superior score difference, U Mumba are placed one position above Bengaluru Bulls. Their upcoming match is scheduled for October 27 at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur at 19:30 IST.
