UFC 244: Diaz vs Masvidal for the BMF Belt and Dana White's take

After a huge gap of two years, Nate Diaz made his comeback at UFC 241 and became victorious against Anthony Pettis. Nate Diaz did not fight since UFC 202 against Conor McGregor and it was expected that Diaz vs Mcgregor 3 will be his comeback. However, after a big win at UFC 241, Diaz called out Jorge Masvidal as his next opponent and the fans absolutely loved the idea. The idea of Nate Diaz going against Masvidal became so popular that UFC President Dana White is going to make a one-time belt for the fight. The belt will be called BMF (Baddest Mother F*$%#R) while the winner will not get to defend the title against anyone in the future.

What Is BMF?

The idea of BMF belt actually came up with an Instagram post. After a victory at UFC 241, Nate Diaz made a callout to Jorge Masvidal for his next fight. Masvidal was in the arena and he absolutely loved the idea of going against Nate Diaz. Both Diaz and Masvidal are eminent strikers and are really dangerous boxers. Masvidal is a knockout specialist while Diaz has never been knocked out in his entire life. The American fighters have fought the best in the organisation and have always shocked the world. Masvidal recently made the fastest knockout in UFC history by knocking out the undefeated Ben Askren in just five seconds at UFC 239. After the Diaz and Masvidal fight was made public, Diaz made an Instagram post claiming himself as the Baddest Mother F*$%#R of the game and Masvidal’s comment caught everyone’s attention. UFC President Dana White immediately decided to create the BMF belt for the match and it is also referred to as the People’s Belt for all the valid reasons.

UFC 244 and Dwayne Johnson

WWE and Hollywood Superstar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has been a fan of martial arts throughout his life. He has been present in a lot of UFC events including the famous Daniel Cormier vs Jon Jones 2. It is official that Dwayne Johnson is going to present the BMF belt to the winner at UFC 244 and that in itself is one of the biggest selling points for the UFC match. Dana White said The Rock gets what he wants and this is what Dwayne Johnson wanted.
