Henry Cejudo had a brilliant run in UFC till now with two titles on his shoulders at the same time. He is the fourth fighter in UFC to become a ‘Champ Champ’ along with Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, and Amanda Nunes. However, Henry Cejudo considers himself the Triple C with two UFC golds and one Olympic gold under his name. The Mexican-American fighter got his hand on the flyweight title after defeating Demetrious Jhonson at UFC 227 and beat the former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw at Fight Night 143 main-event to become a double champ.
Henry’Triple C’ Cejudo is yet to defend his belts in UFC and there has been a lot of speculations regarding his matchup. Henry stepped inside the octagon as an underdog against TJ Dillashaw but managed to knock him out in the very first round. After getting his second title, Henry Cejuddo called out TJ Dillashaw again to run it back at flyweight division but TJ Dillashaw got suspended for two years after a failed drug test. In the meanwhile, Dillashaw has his eyes on Dominick Cruz
There were also rumours about an intergender match in UFC and Henry Cejudo vs Valentina Shevchenko was in talks. Though it did not make a final conclusion. Triple C Henry Cejudo was out of UFC for some time after facing a shoulder injury but he is getting closer to being cleared for his training. However, the Double Champ is offended with UFC for not treating him like a legend and paying him less. Cejudo has often been referred to as ‘cringy’ by UFC fans for his behaviour but Cejudo feels that he is a legend and he must be paid like one. He recently called out Dominick Cruz for his return but might take a break from UFC if they fail to give him the deserving treatment.
In a recent interview with American media, Henry Cejudo said that having both the belts at the same time is stressful as he has to hold up in two weight divisions. Triple C said that he doesn't want that stress and is looking to vacate the title. 135 seems more appetising for him.
