After becoming a mother just four months ago, Brazilian-American martial artist Mackenzie Dern faced the first loss of her MMA career against Amanda Ribas at UFC Fight Night 161. Mackenzie stepped inside the octagon with an undefeated record of 7-0 but Ribas dominated the entire fight and got the victory by a unanimous decision. This was clearly tough for Mackenzie since she came back to the octagon after fighting in May 2018.  In her 2018 bout, she got the victory against Amanda Cooper by a rear-naked choke and stayed out of UFC after getting pregnant.
