Jaipur Pink Panther’s captain Deepak Hooda and raider Deepak Narwal scored Super 10s that led their team to victory. Right from the start, Hooda, Narwal and Nilesh Salunke increased the pressure on Puneri Paltan. As both teams rank one after the other, it was a crucial game for Jaipur as well as Pune. Though Jaipur Pink Panthers’ defence made certain errors, Sandeep Dhull and Amit Hooda came out on top. Panthers managed a 20-13 on the stroke of half time.
As the second half commenced, Puneri Paltan chose an aggressive style of raiding in order to overtake Jaipur. Deepak and Salunke kept raiding, penetrating Puneri Paltan’s defence. Pankaj Mohite was in terrific form as he executed back-to-back successful raids. Jaipur Pink Panthers lagged for some time, but quickly caught up. Jaipur’s raiding trio (Hooda, Narwal and Salunke) nullified all the raids by Mohite. After Pune’s second all-out towards the end, the game was at a point of no return. In the end, Jaipur Pink Panthers triumphed over Puneri Paltan.
