PKL 2019 reaches a crucial point as every team is trying to secure its place in the qualifiers. With Dagang Delhi K.C. and Bengal Warriors already qualified, U Mumba, U.P. Yoddha, Haryana Steelers and Bengaluru Bulls struggle to maintain a lead. Like every season, there is a list of Top PKL Raiders and Defenders. Let us take a look at the top five raiders of PKL 2019.
After overtaking Pardeep Narwal as the top raider in PKL season six, Sehrawat has continued to dominate the leaderboard this year as well. The hi-flyer has 217 raid points to his name, along with five super raids. His 22 points are still the highest by any player in a PKL final. As he continues to perform in every match, Bengaluru Bull’s Pawan Sehrawat can yet again bag the MVP of the year award.
With 207 raid points, Narwal closely follows Sehrawat on the PKL 2019 leaderboard. The 'Dubki King' was the MVP for PKL season four and five, and still holds the record for maximum points a season (369). Despite Pawan overtaking him last season, Pardeep Narwal continues to perform consistently. This year, the Patna Pirate’s captain has a total of ten super raids.
Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Naveen Kumar is a young kabaddi superstar. At the age of 19, Naveen is already the team’s highest scorer. With 172 raid points in season 6, the raider has continued to perform well this year. For PKL 2019, Kumar already has 197 raid points, earning him the third spot on the leaderboard.
Currently a part of Bengal Warriors, Maninder Sigh ranks fourth with 175 raid points. He also has six super raids, ranking after Pardeep Narwal. Singh also scored 206 points for Bengal Warriors last year. In 2017, he was a part of the winning squad of the Asian Kabaddi Championship.
Unsurprisingly, Telugu Titan’s Siddharth Baahubali Desai takes the fifth position with 137 raid points. Formerly a part of U Mumba, Desai was the first to reach the 50 raid point mark. With a super ten in his first match, this Nagpur boy announced his arrival with a bang. Despite his consistent raids, Telugu Titans stand 11th in the PKL 2019 points table.
Vikash Kandola, Deepak Niwas Hooda, Rahul Chaudhari, Shrikant Jadhav and Rohit Gulia are other players on the top raiders list. Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi K.C. will face off on Monday, September 23. The fans are excited to see Pawan Sehrawat and Naveen Kumar compete. Pardeep Narwal’s Patna Pirates, on the other hand, is playing against Dharmaraj Cherlathan’s Haryana Steelers next. Let us know who is your favourite raider for PKL 2019.
