WWE News: Roman Reigns thoughts on Universal champion Seth Rollins

The former WWE champion Roman Reigns has been out of the WWE ring for a year to get his treatment for leukaemia. He became the face of WWE who went on to beat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania and defeat Brock Lesnar ‘The Beast Incarnate’. However, Roman Reigns feels that his co-debutant Seth Rollins has emerged as one of the biggest superstars and is the perfect man to take the lead. Reigns and Seth Rollins made their debut along with Dean Ambrose as The S.H.I.E.L.D and the trio became one of the best tag-teams of the universe. After Reigns’ leukaemia and Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose’s) news of joining AEW, the current Universal champion Rollins is the only member left from The S.H.I.E.L.D in current WWE roster.

Roman Reigns on Seth Rollins

The WWE Universal champion Rollins has faced a huge backlash from fans after his recent PPV fight against Bray Wyatt ‘The Fiend’. The Hell In A Cell main event fight was cancelled by the referee after Rollins tried to hit Wyatt with a sledgehammer. The fans criticised the entire WWE universe for the fight but Superstar Reigns is in all praise for Rollins. Reigns feels that Rollins has done a brilliant job by beating Lesnar at SummerSlam and reclaiming the title. Both Reigns and Rollins have a victory against The Beast Incarnate and Reigns feels that currently, Rollins is the face of WWE.

Roman Reign’s statement in an interview

“There is a lot to being the face of WWE. It’s not only about being in the ring. It’s about how you represent, and that is a 24-7, 365 job. You’ve got to be on all the time for 52 weeks a year. But I’m telling you now, my brother is legit.

I was so proud of him and what he did at SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar. He obviously had one of those weeks where the Twitter machine and the Internet went nuts on him, but he bounced back and answered the call.

Is he passionate? God, yes. Is he blunt? Of course, that’s why I love him. He doesn’t sugarcoat, he’s very honest, and he is passionate, and he was born for professional wrestling.

Seth loves the WWE. That’s why some people misread some of the things he says or the ways he delivers it, but he does mean well. He’s a workhorse. Yeah, he’s a little live at the mouth sometimes, but he’s got a heart of gold, trust me.

Whether he’s on Raw or SmackDown, the WWE is in good hands with him as champion.” Said Roman Reigns in an interview.
