WWE: The debut episode of SmackDown on Fox kicked off with Becky Lynch welcoming the WWE fans to the debut show. Know what happens as she's joined by The Rock.

WWE debuted SmackDown on Fox last Friday night with a show that saw groundbreaking performances from wrestlers from both brands, with the debut of UFC veteran Cain Velasquez and the return of the great one – Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Velasquez running through Lesnar was a cherishing moment for the many fans in attendance, but the People’s Champ returning to join forces with The Man Becky Lynch in the opening segment of the show was the highlight of the night.

The Rock and Becky's segment with King Corbin

While there is no denying the magnetic appeal of The Rock, to say that the WWE Universe was thrilled to see ‘The Great One’ would be an understatement. The Rock, as he does, entertained the crowd at Staples Center from the get-go; from captivating the fans with his famous catchphrases to delivering the witty lines to insult the newly crowned King. Corbin, who has had enough of the embarrassment ultimately decided to trade jabs with Becky Lynch and The Rock only to fall victim to the People’s Elbow followed by a Rock Bottom.

The Rock wins the night

The show was primetime’s highest-rated show on Fox and drew a total 3.888 million views. The Rock just took to Twitter to give a shoutout to Becky Lynch as they delivered Smackdown’s highest rated segment of the entire show.
