Novak Djokovic has 16 grand slam titles to his name and is third on the list behind Federer and Nadal. These are three of his best performances in grand slams

Novak Djokovic is relentless on court with his steely eyes and flawless shotmaking ability. Djokovic is regarded as one of the toughest competitors on tour. He has created his own legacy while playing in the era of other great players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The Serbian has a total 16 grand slams to his name and is the current Wimbledon and Australian Open Champion. Here are the three best performances of his career.

Versus Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2019

Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer 7-6, 1-6, 7-6,4-6, 12- 12( 6-3 tiebreaker) in a five-set thriller at Wimbledon in July this year. He won his fifth Wimbledon title with this win equalling Bjorn Borg’s record. Federer and Djokovic progressed into the final defeating Nadal and Roberto Bautista Agut respectively. Djokovic beat Federer after saving match points in a Wimbledon final for the ages.

Versus Jo Wilfied Tsonga at Roland Garros in 2012

This was a really touch match for Djokovic against the homes favourite Tsonga . Afetr running through the first set, Djokovic was not at his best in the next two as Tsonga took a two set to one lead. Tsonga had four opportunities to close out the match in the 4th set only for Djokovic to save all those match points and grind out the set to level the match. Djokovic ran through the final set to advance to the 2012 semi-finals at Rolan Garros. 

Versus Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros in 2015

In 2015, Djokovic became only the 2nd man after Robin Soderling to beat Nadal at Roland Garros. What is even more staggering is that he beat him in straight sets 7-5  6-3  6-1. After a tight first set, Djokovic dominated proceedings to hand Nadal his worst defeat at Roland Garros. He went on to lift the trophy aftre beating Andy Murray in the final to complete a career grand slam.
