Swiss tennis player Roger Federer has been extremely active on the microblogging website Twitter in the last few days. He has actively engaged with his fans. On Saturday, a Pakistani user ‘Hassan’ tweeted that his morale would be boosted ahead of his semester exams if Federer could wish him good luck. Surprisingly, the latter replied to his fan and indulged in a bit of fun. He asked the user to watch one of his Laver Cup videos.
The video that Federer was referring to contained some quirky moments that were witnessed before Zverev’s super tiebreak against his opponent Milos Raonic in the Laver Cup 2019 final held in Geneva, Switzerland. Basically, Zverev had won the first set 6-3. Subsequently, Raonic staged a comeback by winning the next set 6-3. This forced the super tiebreak, where the first player to reach 10 points wins the match. At this juncture, Federer and his good friend Rafael Nadal ran after the upcoming star player Zverev and accompanied him to the bathroom. The former was even heard using expletives, speaking to the player. Nadal also barked a lot of instructions at Zverev telling him to avoid negative thinking.
The social media user 'Hassan' was overwhelmed by the fact that Federer had quoted him on Twitter. He observed that he was still "shaking" as a fallout of this development. He further added that life was sometimes unbelievable. Finally, he hoped that other people would also get a response from Federer in the future.
