The WWE Draft went underway on this week's episode of Friday Night Smackdown. While the 71 superstars set to be drafted had some big names in them, a few of the biggest names in WWE were missing. In this article, we discuss the reason for the same.
Superstars like John Cena, The Undertaker, Cain Velasquez, Ronda Rousey, The Hardy Brothers, and Sheamus were not included in the Draft list. A major reason for the absence of names like John Cena and The Undertaker could be the status of the superstars' participation in WWE. John Cena and The Undertaker are both part-timers at this point and are not part of any active storylines. Although they are not retired, their external commitments and decisions make their appearances unpredictable. It can be assumed that these superstars are free agents in the Draft but another major reason behind their absence from the list could also be the fact that the brands would not want to waste their picks on talent which will not bring too much value to their brand in the long run.
